The YMCA of Central Texas is seeking a driven individual to join our Licensed Child Care team as a Multi-District Training Director.

The Training Director will plan, coordinate, conduct, and administer staff development training for Licensed Childcare Afterschool Program, Camp and branch locations.

This role requires frequent travel to deliver face to face training at various locations (approximately 3 days per week).

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Travel up to three days a week to support programs in outlying service area (Burnet, Waco, other cities possible)
  • Flex hours to provide some evening professional development sessions
  • Design and lead virtual professional development sessions
  • Support senior program director with professional development sessions to support curriculum implementation, behavior management, communication, working with kids with special needs, and program management for Y Afterschool and Child Development Center staff
  • Support senior program director with facilitation of leadership tracks for site staff
  • Coach staff members during program time to support their identified learning goals
  • Conduct site assessments & share results with program directors
  • Support Senior Program Directors in developing, scheduling, coordinating and delivering Orientation/Pre-Service Assist with staff recruitment, interviews, and scheduling
  • Conduct required annual trainings monthly (Health and Safety in Y Afterschool, CPR, and First Aid)
  • Work with staff to ensure licensing requirements are met and appropriate certificates and paperwork are collected and filed
  • Track and record training attendance
  • Ensure that all sessions meet state licensing and association policies

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University is preferred
  • Must possess a valid Texas Drivers License and show proof of insurability
  • Must maintain a driving record that is satisfactory with the YMCA standards
  • Ability to travel up to 90 miles round-trip three times per week
  • Seasoned administration and broad line management experience including corporate planning, financial development, fiscal control and image development

Pay Rate: $50,000 to $55,000/year
